Tallen is 3 months old!

Tallen can do everything a three month old baby should be able to do including:

• lift head up 45 degrees when on stomach

 

He can also do everything a three month old will probably be able to do including:

• laugh out loud 
• on stomach, lift head 90 degrees
• squeal in delight 
• bring both hands together
• smile spontaneously
• follow an object held about 6 inches above baby's face and moved 180 degrees, from one side to the other; with baby watching all the way

 

He can do almost everything a three month old may possible be able to do including:

• hold head steady when upright
• on stomach, raise chest, supported by arms (this is somewhat)
• grasp a rattle held to backs or tips of fingers
• pay attention to an item as small as a raisin
• roll over one way (belly to back and he can go from back to almost his side)

 

 

Tallen can also do almost everything a three month old may be able to do including:

• bear some weight on legs when held upright
• keep head level with body when pulled to sitting
• turn in the direction of a voice, especially mommy's
• say "ah-goo" or similar vowel-consonant combinations
• make a "razz" sound

 

except:

• reach for an object (he tries to and can sometimes get there if its held in front of him)

Other things about my sweet boy:

• Still LOVES baths
• Always so happy in the mornings when he wakes up
• Started eating his hands ALL THE TIME (so did Lakelyn at this point)
• Started drooling like crazy (Lakelyn also did this at this time frame)
• Loves to sit up and see things)
• Sleeps through the night.
• Sleeps in his crib every night
• Doesn't like to take long naps unless you are holding him or laying with him
• Loves his paci.
• Does not like the car seat especially if the car is not moving
• He has been breaking out of his swaddle at night
• He likes to blow bubbles  
• Loves looking at lights and ceiling fans.
• Loves his sister and watching her
• Has been such an easy baby and is so happy most of the time. He just wants to be held or you to talk to him and he is good to go!

He went to the doctor at 3 months for his 2 month appointment and was 13.6 pounds and 24 inches long. 50% across the boards.

 Tallen Slade, you are such a sweetheart and mommy, daddy, and your sister love you so incredibly much! You are so happy most of the time unless you are hungry. You just go with the flow and so laid back. You melt my heart the second you smile and look for me! You are a total momma's boy and I love every second of it. I am so sad that time is just flying by, but I love watching you learn and grow. I wish I could just freeze time <3

Tallen is 2 months old!

Tallen turned two months old on March 19th, 2018! Life flies by so much more after having him! Which is why its the end of April and I am playing catch up posting about his second month of life! He is the sweetest little boy and has filled my heart so much! 



At two months old Tallen can do all the things that a baby her age should be able to do including:

• smile in response to your smile
• respond to a bell in some way
  

  
  

He can also do all the things a baby his age probably would be able to do including:

• vocalize in ways other than crying
• lift head 45 degrees while lying on stomach

He can also do some of the things a baby his age may be able to do including:

• hold head steady when upright (for a few minutes at least and then it tends to drop)
• grasp a rattle held to the backs or tips of fingers (if you give it to him he can, but he doesn't reach for it)
• say "ah-goo" or similar vowel-consonant combinations
• roll over one way
• pay attention to an object as small as a raisin ( he will follow something small if its close to him)

He cannot:

• on stomach, raise chest, supported by arm (he can lift up his head pretty high but not really supporting himself with arms just yet)
• reach for an object

Tallen can do all of the things a baby his age may possibly be able to do including:

• smile spontaneously
• bring both hands together
• on stomach, lift head 90 degrees
• squeal in delight
• follow an object held about 6 inches above the baby's face and moved 180 degrees (from one side to the other) with baby watching the whole way
• laugh out loud (here and there, but not consistent)

Some things Tallen does not like right now are:

• being in his car seat especially if the car is not moving
• being hungry or tired, but who can blame him
• me putting him down unless I am right there with him
• he is not a big laying on is belly fan
• sleeping in his crib
• doesn't like to be cold

Some things Tallen likes right now are:

• bath time
• being cuddled or snuggled
• being held
• holding onto my shirt while I hold him
• mornings
• laying on his back while you talk to him
• his paci
• eating

 

  Tallen likes to hold my shirt while he is eating and likes to have me or a blanket on his face while he falls asleep. He sleeps basically all night. His baby acne is clearing up finally! He kicks his legs his arms and legs so fast when he is excited and in the bath tub! He loves having his paci touching his mouth in some way. He has not had any cereal or baby foods. Breast milk exclusively and has been a champ at it!
