39 weeks & dr appointment

How far along: 39 weeks 1 day!
Baby Growth: Tallen is FULL TERM! Which means measurements at this point can  be anywhere. So he is just chilling in there!
My Symptoms: I still get some heartburn and waddle so much because of the pelvic pain. Sleeping is hard because of the pain as well and I guess my body is just getting ready for the several wake ups a  night i'll be doing. I also wake up to pee a lot but other than that i'm doing really well I think. I am just ready for him to be here.

Gender: Boy!
Weight gain: I am still at 30 pounds total and have not gained any weight in the past 2 weeks which I am so happy about!
Maternity clothes: All the time. Or Tylers clothing.
Stretch marks: I think its might just be the old ones showing a lot. but there might be a few new ones around my belly button. i'm not sure.
Belly button in or out: its mainly flat, but does stick out just a little bit.
Sleep: It is what it is at this point. I have to toss and turn from hip/pelvis pain and I have to pee a lot. Its not horrible sleep, but its not the greatest.
Best moment this week: Just spending the last few days with my baby girl being the only child! Knowing I will soon be a momma to TWO babies!
Worst moment this week: At my appointment I made NO progress which i'll go more into in a bit. Assuming I will be induced and he isn't coming on his own!
Miss anything:  just being able to sleep without pain.
Movement: All of the time.
Cravings: hmm.. honeybuns I think. I eat them constantly.
Queasy or sick: feel good mostly
Wedding rings on or off: On, but i'm swollen so they're tight.
Looking forward to:  Knowing this time next week we'll have a baby!
Belly Pictures:  I will have to update with a belly pic!

So doctor appointment update:

I really was hoping I didn't have to go to this appointment but wasn't too concerned with it because I am now actually 39 weeks and officially full term! I went in with BIG hopes of being dilated and effaced more. I did tons of walking, evening primrose oil, bouncing on my ball, breast pump so I was sure I would be super close to having him!
My weight was perfect with  no gain!! My urine was good! My blood pressure was perfect at
116/70!  Everything was looking great! We did discuss him doing a stripping of my membranes and he was fine with that since I was 39 weeks. I was so nervous about it because everyone said it was pretty uncomfortable. So I was very "talked" up about it and either he didn't really do much or it wasn't that bad. Not much worse then a typical check. I had a little soreness for a few minutes after, but no discharge, spotting, bleeding, cramps, contractions and obviously no water breaking. I also asked if I made any progress and he just shook his head no and I think he knew I was going to be upset with no change. He didn't mention much else because I think he knows i'll be going in to be induced. Which he also moved up to Tuesday the 23rd, which is my actual due date. He did want me to come back in on Monday for one last check, which is another reason I am so sure i'll have to be induced.

I left the appointment and immediately started just crying in my car while I was sending out the million text messages to update everyone. I was just so frustrated that I didn't make any progress and I've been 1 cm and 50% for a MONTH now. and i'm sure that is only because I've had a baby before so things don't really go back to normal after that! I am just so scared my body wont figure it out and i'll have to have a C-section. I did tell him about those concerns and he said he was NOT worried that I would end up in a C-section. He said he knows I can do it and for me to NOT be worried about that. But its still hard. I did have one little smudge of hope since he stripped the membranes that MAYBE it would help. So I went home and cleaned the house and stayed on my feet. Once Tyler got home we took Lakelyn around the block to ride her jeep while we walked. My back was killing me so we came back home and I sat and relaxed in a warm bath. I had NO contractions or anything! I was completely bummed,  but decided to go to town the next day and walk around some. I did have a couple instances of a sharp pain like he was hitting my cervix pretty good, but still no contractions or anything. After that trip I came home and bounced and rolled my hips on the ball for hours. Still nothing. I basically gave up hope that he is coming before his due date and we will be induced.

So overall it wasn't that great of an appointment, but I am going to spend these last days enjoying Lakelyn and try to relax knowing when he'll come and that i'll be at the hospital when everything goes on. In less than 6 days we will have another baby!

37 weeks

I  never did any of these post with Lakleyn after I think 34 weeks. I did do a 36 week dr. appointment update with her and then the next one was about it being time for a baby! So I have nothing but my memory to compare!

How far along: 37 weeks  1 day!
Baby Growth: Tallen is about 19 inches long and weighs about 6 pounds! He is pretty much fully developed and just packing on the baby fat at this point!
My Symptoms: I get out of breath super easily these days. I still have the pelvic pain on the right side which mainly bothers me when i'm laying down and sometimes sitting for long periods of time. It can be hard for me to get up and down and I waddle instead of walk.
Heartburn is still awful and its mostly at night.

I've still  been feeling those sharp pains when I walk as he hits my cervix.

swelling is here to stay.

Gender: Boy!
Weight gain: I am calculating around  30 pounds.
Maternity clothes: All the time. Or Tylers clothing.
Stretch marks: I think its just the old ones.
Belly button in or out: flat still, but seems to have a little knot like it wants to poke out.
Sleep: It is what it is at this point. I have to toss and turn from hip/pelvis pain and I have lower back pain. I wish I could just crack my back!
Best moment this week: It is SNOWING TODAY!!! Like ALOT! we're expected 5-8" of snow! Literally like my dreams are coming true right now. haha. We also got some really exciting news yesterday regarding our living situation so once I know more I will update with that info!
Worst moment this week: This is actually the week I had my miscarriage a year ago. Baby only measured 9 weeks with no heartbeat and I was supposed to be a little over 10 weeks. So i'm really glad to have had some good things going on this week!
Miss anything:  just being able to sleep without pain.
Movement: All of the time.
Cravings: hmm.. honeybuns maybe?
Queasy or sick: feel good mostly
Wedding rings on or off: On
Looking forward to:  I guess just having a baby, getting adjusted to being a family of 4, more information on the living situation.
Belly Pictures:  I haven't actually done a belly photo yet for this week, but I will update this when I do!

35 & 36 week dr appointment

I'll start with the 35 week appointment.

We did the ultrasound first to check the measurements of this boy and get an estimated weight. He measured about a week ahead on almost everything like his head and belly. He was measuring in the 60th percentile where as Lakelyn was measuring in the 34th at less than a week ahead (36ish weeks). He was measuring in at about 5 pounds 12 oz and the weirdest thing is Lakelyn also weighed 5 pounds and 12 oz at her ultrasound, but like I said it was almost a week ahead. So with that info and her weighing 6 pounds 13 oz and 19 inches long at birth I am guessing he will be around 7 pounds 8 oz. but about 21 inches long. We will see!

We did my weight and it was down 5 pounds so i'm thinking my weight was read wrong at the previous appointment. This put my weight gain at 27 pounds total.

My blood pressure was a little higher than normal at 130/70 which did worry me a little, but its not technically "high" at that point so I figured it was a fluke.

My urine sample was good and we did blood work for that strep thing. I really don't know much about it, but I know I did it with Lakelyn too.

His heartbeat was in the 150s and my belly I guess measured fine. He didn't really say. He did say he could swear I was having a big baby though with the size of my belly. I was the same way with Lakelyn. I guess since I have no torso like at all I have no choice but to grow outwards making my belly large.

He checked me and I was almost 1 cm and 50% effaced which for this being my second baby its normal for my cervix to not be fully closed.

36 weeks:
I went in and and we did my weight which was up about 3 pounds putting me at 30 total pounds gained. This was my goal to NOT go over and i'm not sure i'll hit it. It looks like I will be going over, but hopefully it will not be by much! fingers crossed.

My blood pressure was back down at 118/68 which was great news from the last appointment.

My urine sample was good and my strep test thing results were negative.

He measured my belly and i'm assuming it measures big because he mentioned again that he can't believe i'm not having a large baby.. wondering if I should start taking this as i'm large?

Heartbeat was good around the 140s.

He checked me and I was at 1 cm and still 50% effaced and he was at a -3 station meaning he has dropped into my pelvis. I made sure to ask if he thought he would be coming within like the next week or two and he said no, but he did not think I would make it all the way to my due date.

I still feel pretty good other than trying to sleep at night and by the end of the day my back usually hurts and i'm pretty exhausted. I am still doing so much more at this point in my pregnancy than I did with Lakelyn though. I'm pretty sure with her I was already on bedrest and pretty much not leaving the house and barely getting off the couch. I also think with her I had the rash already formed all over me! We might have even scheduled my induction date for March 16th which was our date if I went over 40 weeks. That date ended up being irrelevant and moved up. So I feel like overall we're doing great this time!
