We have passed the halfway mark! Woohoo! With the Holiday's coming babygirl will be here before we know it! We can't wait to meet her!
How far along: 21 weeks, 6 days
Baby Growth: Lakelyn is about 10 1/2 inches and at our ultrasound last Thursday 10/30/14 she weighed about 12 ounces! She was also measuring about 5-7 days smaller than what I actually am based on her head and stomach size. Which I'm ok with! I have had a gut feeling since day one that she would be a smaller baby! So we will see :) Plus a week isn't really anything when it comes to ultrasound because it can easily be off too!
My Symptoms: I'm doing tons better with enery! I haven't had the urge to nap in a while! I mean there are still some days where I wish I could take a nap, but for the most part I can go all day and be fine!
Heartburn is NO JOKE! I've never had it before in MY LIFE, but these past two weeks ive been having it like crazy every single night and its been lasting a lot longer.
My boobs are ginormous! I hate them!
Lower back soreness is still there, but not as bad. If I walk around or am on my feet a lot it will hurt pretty bad. We went to the fair Sunday and walked around for 3-4 hours and it was killing me! My upper back with start hurting too which I think is from my huge boobs!
Headaches have either been getting better or I've just learned to work around them by sleeping in the recliner a couple nights a week so that I'm sitting up! I do think a lot of it has to do with sleeping on my stomach (which has been getting harder and harder to do). I'm not sure why or how, but I just feel like maybe because of the way I have to turn my neck if I'm on my belly causes tension and a headache? I also asked the doctor about it and he said its very normal and nothing that we can really prevent, but I can take Sudafed (Tylenol Sinus or Benadryl) at night and it may help easy them. I tried that lastnight and I didn't wake up with a headache and I definitely slept well!
Starting to pee a lot more frequently!
On Halloween night after we finished passing out candy I was watching tv and they started playing the Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel and while I was halfway through a movie I noticed a movement that was very strong feeling. It felt so funny. I thought "Whoa what was that?" and then a second later I felt it again a couple of times in a row and noticed it was babygirl KICKING!! I actually laughed out loud because it was 1) the funniest feeling 2) an exciting moment and 3) an instant knowledge of the fact that she obviously has her momma's love of Christmas! Since them i'll feel them every now and then, but that night while I was watching those movies they were constant!
As I am sitting here typing this I have decided to turn on Christmas music and see if she starts kicking to the music. Do you think she will?
Gender: Little Girl!
Weight gain: At my appointment on10/30 I had gained 7 more pounds putting me at 10!!!!! I almost DIED! I, of course, had to do some googling about this and found out that I am actually right on target! At this point in my pregnancy i should have gained between 10-14 pounds. It said that in first trimester you should gain between 2-4 pounds (which I gained 0 so that was good to me). After that you should gain about .85-1.1 pounds per week there after until 40 weeks! That seems like a bit much to me, but its right on point.
Maternity clothes: I definitely need them. I am wearing more maternity jeans lately, but I still try to wear some regular jeans too, although they're not really comfortable so I have to leave them unbuttoned. I also wear scrubs half of the week so those are comfortable, but I do not fit in a lot of the ones I have :( As for shirts- I basically have NONE! My regular shirts are either too tight or too short and maternity shirts are either too big or I just don't like. So I have very few that I wear. I've been trying to stick to sweaters or sweatshirts, but even my sweatshirts are getting tight on my belly! None of my jackets fit and if they do I for sure cannot zip them up! This might just be a long winter!
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In, but it was itchy the other day and is starting to look kind of funny! You'll see it in the picture where I painted my belly for Halloween!
Sleep: It has been pretty good lately. Other than getting up to pee.
Best moment this week: The cold weather that we had (the high was 40 something and at one point at like 1:00 in the afternoon the windchill was 29 degrees!) It was awesome! Not to mention our ultrasound last Thursday and hearing that she is absolutely perfect and cute as can be was amazing!
Worst moment this week: The crazy weather where it was in the upper 70s today and tomorrow!
Miss anything: I sometimes start to miss my pre-pregnancy body and then she'll kick or move around and i'll be happy again. However, The fact that my lungs are being smushed and I lose my breath faster than normal and can barely yawn without it hurting is no fun!
Movement: Starting to get more and more little kicks and tons of movement lately!
Cravings: Still can't say I've been craving anything. I for sure have an appetite now (obviously considering I gained 10 pounds) Some of the things that I have been wanting lately are: slim jims, rolls from Logans, and French fries.
Queasy or sick: Been feeling great!
Wedding rings on or off: On
Looking forward to: Black Friday shopping- Babygirl will have presents this year too even if she is in my belly! My birthday is also coming up in about 5 weeks and we are going to be having a 3D ultrasound between Black Friday and my birthday so that we can have a cute picture of her face for our Christmas card this year!
Belly Pictures: Lots of pictures this week. We'll start with some ultrasound pictures!
still a girl!!
excuse the ugly belly button ring and horrible painted face :)
Sneak Peak of her closet of clothes already! They range from newborn to 24 months! Most of them are 6-9 months!

This is what happend to the chalkboard! It's ready for Christmas!
I put out our stockings and decorated the fire mantel and I noticed that our initials are BLT! haha- we're always thinking about food. Even while naming our child!
Happy Hump Day Friends!
