10 weeks

How far along: 10 weeks!
Baby Growth: Baby is a little over an inch or so long and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce. Baby has now completed the most critical portion of his or her development. He or she is swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm.  Tiny nails are forming on fingers and toes and peach-fuzz hair is beginning to grow on his or her tender skin.
My Symptoms: I've just started the 10th week, and if i'm honest my 9 week post was done yesterday lol. so symptoms are basically the same still. tired, nauseated on and off at random times. Boobs hurt. If I can remember I want to come back in a few days and update my symptoms.. updated: basically all the same symptoms. Nausea is getting better, but I have to eat before I get hungry.
Gender:  Ugh.. I don't know. I still feel like its a boy, but still worried I think its a boy because that is what we want. I don't have that lingering gut feeling its a girl like I did with Lakelyn, but I still can't say i'm positive this one is a boy.
Weight gain:  Still no weight gain!
Maternity clothes: Need to probably get some out, but I seriously either wear scrubs to work or i'm home all day in gym clothes aka: pjs!
Stretch marks: No new ones
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Still sleeping great! Still having weird vivid dreams
Best moment this week: This week has just began, so I can't give one just yet, but I will hopefully update this too in a few days! Tyler took Friday off and we went to the lake Thursday night and just had a good day just the 3 of us (plus baby in the belly) even though the weather was stormy and not good. It was nice to not have any cell signal, tv, or extra "stuff" going on. We made breakfast, went fishing through 2 down pours, let lakelyn nap in the camper while we just sat outside under the awning watching the storm. It was also pretty chilly once the storms rolled in which was amazing!
Worst moment this week: Just going to assume it'll be the heat! Actually though, today really isn't all that bad (knock on wood) but i'm still so ready for cold weather, hoodies and fires :) yeah.. updated to say the heat and gnats we had at the lake.
Miss anything:  Being able to eat things. Not like I just want to pig out and gain a ton of weight, but like I really cannot think of ANYTHING that sounds good. It makes it so difficult to eat at all. Movement: nope, but I so am ready for it
Cravings: Not really. Nothing really sounds any good. I will go to the fridge a few times and see the jar of pickles and be like "i kind of want a pickle" but I don't die if I end up not eating one.
Queasy or sick: depends on the time of day and which way the wind blows I suppose. Its so random and will hit at any moment. Yesterday evening I did have a headache, but it was easing up and I was feeling great. went for a ride on the hunting club with Tyler and Lakelyn to put corn out and stopped by his parents land and then as we were about to pull in the drive way it hit me and I was not feeling well for the rest of the night.
Questions/Concerns: none at the moment
Looking forward to:  Feeling baby move, finding the heartbeat on the Doppler, the next ultrasound you know the typical :)
Belly Pictures: ya'll my belly pictures are not cute at all! I need to step up my game and do something cute. Maybe i'll pull out the ole chalk board and start using it again! But until then here is today's 10 week picture! PS. you can see my marks from my bed because I literally just woke up and then took this :)

9 weeks

How far along: 9 weeks 6 days
Baby Growth: sd
My Symptoms: I still get nauseous and super tired. Bloating is still there and boobs are so sore! some stretching and cramping in my uterus here and there. All of the basic first trimester symptoms. I haven't been having headaches until recently. I have had a few this week!
Gender:  I'm thinking boy
Weight gain:  According to my scale at home (which I prefer to use since I have been using it for years) I have not gained any weight so far which is good because I am still about 7ish pounds over my pre-Lakelyn pregnancy! My goal is to not gain much this pregnancy and to get back to pre-Lakelyn weight!
Maternity clothes: I am definitely showing, but to some people they would might think i'm just chubby. My clothes are tight on my belly so for shorts and scrubs its kind of uncomfortable and I don't like how it makes my stomach look. So I should probably pull them out and wear them but I just feel like its so early!
Stretch marks: Just the old ones from Lakelyn
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: It has been pretty good. I have been on progesterone which makes me sleep pretty good. I got the ok from my doctor last week to stop them and sleep has still been good,  but the dreams. oh the weird dreams!
Best moment this week: Seeing baby with a heartbeat at our ultrasound! I was so nervous because this is when we found out that our last baby did not have a heartbeat :(
Worst moment this week: The crazy hot weather! Gahh.. the older I get the MORE I dislike the summer. Its so miserable. It's not just like a normal hot day. it gets so hot you can barely breathe when you walk outside. It is just gross!
Miss anything:  I miss being able to just eat. Like I have to really think and amp up what I am going to eat so it will sound good and not make me feel nauseated!
Movement: Not yet,  but I cannot WAIT!
Cravings: Still don't want much of anything. I would say I did have a craving for pizza the other day. It was just what sounded good at the time.
Queasy or sick: Been feeling off and on. The nausea started later in this pregnancy. I didn't really feel sick until after 7 weeks and it hasn't been everyday or anything. I mean I still have it and some days its bad, but its totally unpredictable.
Wedding rings on or off: On
Looking forward to:  Feeling baby move, my next ultrasound in 4 weeks and gender ultrasound in 6!
Belly Pictures:

Baby #2 catch up

So once it was official and I missed my period and had some pretty convincing tests that said I was pregnant I called my doctor. He wanted me in as soon as possible. We did blood work and early ultrasounds and got me on some progesterone supplements just as a precaution. We did everything in our power to make sure our end was covered for this pregnancy.

My first appointment I was about 6 weeks. We did an ultrasound that showed a sac and yolk measuring about 5 weeks 5 days. This was good and he said he would bring me back in a week to see a baby and a heartbeat.
At this point we went ahead and told our immediate family and told them not to tell anyone just yet. I did go ahead and also tell my boss at work because my doctor wanted me on light duty which for me means no moving patients, no helping on and off the xray table, no sliding or rolling them, none of that. So i had to have help at all times.

So I went back the next week and we were measuring right on track at 7 weeks and we saw a baby and a heartbeat at 123bpm!

After this ultrasound we decided to announce on facebook and to everyone else. At this point I was getting some nausea, but for the most part I was feeling pretty good, just very hungry. I was so bloated though it was crazy.

Once I saw him we discussed I would come back in 2 weeks for my first official appointment and we would do another ultrasound. This catches us up to yesterday's visit. I was very nervous for this appointment because this is the same point in my last pregnancy when we went in and baby didn't have a heartbeat. We got there and I had to meet with the lady and discuss what not to eat and medications and all that boring stuff that I already know and then we went into the ultrasound room. We immediately saw the baby, but she didn't zoom in on it yet as she was checking ovaries and stuff first. I was freaking a little bit because the heartbeat wasn't as noticeable as it normally is to me. Once she zoomed in some I saw it right away and it was a relief! Baby was measuring right on at 9 weeks 1 day and had a healthy heartbeat at 167bpm!

Everything looked great, we did more blood work and I got the ok to come off of the progesterone. I am still on light duty and this will be for the remainder of my pregnancy. I had the dreaded pap smear done and wont have to worry about that for another year!! I go back on July 20th for our 12 week ultrasound and visit and then we scheduled our gender ultrasound for August 1st!! I cannot wait!

Disney and finding out about baby #2

So life has been so super busy lately with working both jobs, photography, my new essential oils business, and then cheer started back up that between all of those things and taking care of the home and 2 year old I just didn't have time to come here much. However, Things are calming down a little bit. I will no longer be doing cheerleading and I also cut back hours on one of my jobs. I am going to really push myself to blog about this pregnancy like I did with Lakelyns so that I can compare!

I am already 9 weeks so I have to get caught up so I can start my weekly updates.

We went to Disney World May 11-14th. Our anniversary and Mother's Day was on the 14th! The day we got there we unpacked and then went to downtown Disney to look around. This is the day I believe she fell in love with princesses. We went into one of the stores and they had Cinderella outside adn she LOVED her. It was so sweet. We ended up going to eat at the Dinosaur Restaurant. It was very similar to the rainforest cafĂ© that we went to a few years ago. It was neat and the food was ok, but the wait to get our food took FOREVER. Lakelyn wasn't so sure at first when the storm would go off. She warmed up to it some as the night went on, but she wasn't a fan of the Dinosaurs. So while I was there the first day at Disney I got the worst headache, back ache and aches in my joints. This has always been one of my very first signs of pregnancy for some reason. I kind of just brushed it off to we got NO sleep the day we got there because Lakelyn started throwing up that night as soon as we went to bed and we were having to clean up her and wash bedsheets and everything else. We ended up not going back to sleep until almost 1am. We were up that next morning at 5:45am to get ready and take her to breakfast at Chef Mickey's! It was so fun. I was worried about how it would go since she freaks out when live characters come around. But she loved them from a distance and she did great with Pluto and Mickey when they came to our table! The food was good and there was plenty to choose from. All of the characters did come to the table and sign her book, but I ended up taking all of the pictures with them! The price was a bit steep though. We paid $100 for both of us (Lakelyn was free because she's only 2) including tip. I thought it was worth it though to see her enjoy all the characters and even interact with TWO of them, so it was a win for me!

After we left Chef Mickey's we headed to Magic Kingdom. We got here not long after the gates opened, but it was already packed. I think we picked one of the worst weekends to go to Disney. It was the launch of their new firework show. Crazy how a firework show can pack out a park, but it sure did. We watched one of Mickey and Minnie's shows when we first got there and were waiting on Tyler's parents. She LOVED the show and the castle. She didn't want to leave. It was totally hot this day too!

This child did NOT want to nap at all while we were at the parks. On Magic Kingdom day she fell asleep and her and her pappy went  and found a shaded table outside at one of the restaurants while the rest of us rode the water ride. It was probably a good hour nap. We stayed until the park closed and watched the firework show. I'm not going to lie, I got so annoyed at the people working at the parks for the firework show. They kept telling us to move and find a new place to watch the show and then 10 minutes later they let people stay exactly where we were at. This happened a good 3 times. By the time the show started we were at the exit gate watching and we started on the bridge not far from the castle.

The next day we went to animal kingdom. We thought she would like it because of all of the animals, but I think she would have definitely liked Hollywood Studios better. She fell in love with princesses the first night we got there and went to downtown Disney. We got there early and it was again packed, but we did the safari ride first because we couldn't get a fastpass for it. We didn't wait too long in line to get on but we literally got stuck on the ride for a good extra 30-45 minutes waiting for them to move a giraffe out of the roadway and try to keep a toddler occupied and sitting down for that amount of time with NOTHING going on. The driver was kind of mean to telling us she had to sit. We weren't even moving so I felt like he could have given us a break. We did a few other things and then while walking through the animal exhibit is started to storm so we took shelter in the bat cave and everyone but me and Tyler's dad took naps. Once the rain eased up we ran to the nemo show that we had a fastpass for. Lakelyn was still asleep in the stroller and the workers would NOT let me take it in with her sleeping in it even though others were bringing theirs in!! I was so annoyed. I had to wake her up and she was NOT happy and not to mention everything was in the stroller and got soaked. She through a fit for a good while before the show started. Once it started she still layed against my chest with her head covered with her blanket. When the big jellyfish came down the isles and stuff I made her look and then she kind of got into the show. She wasn't all that amused by it and I will say I had to fight falling asleep BIG TIME. After Nemo the Lion King show was the next thing we really did. This show ended up being the best thing we did the entire day and probably the only thing that made me ok with choosing animal kingdom. It was so good and Lakelyn really liked it too. After it was over it was still raining and we decided to head out and go back to the resort because we figured they wouldn't be doing the firework show in the rain and we were all wet and cold at this point.
Once we got back we decided to go to some of the shops near our resort and pick up a few souvenirs. At this point, I kinda felt like something was going on and that I may be pregnant. So later that night we ordered dinner from a seafood place and Tyler and I went and picked up the food. I made him stop into CVS because I had a huge blister on my toe and wanted a bandaid. I grabbed a test while in there and hid it :) Once we got the food and got back to the hotel I took the test and it was positive. It was light, but I knew I was really early because my period wasn't due for like 4 more days or something. I showed him that night. This was the 13th so the night before our anniversary and mother's day!

Overall, we had such a good time and Lakelyn loved all of the rides! I cannot wait to go back. We are hoping to go back before the end of the year. We originally planned for December but since I will be 9 months pregnant we figured that was probably not a good idea this time, but maybe next year!
