Baby Growth: "Clover" is about the size of a sesame seed, and he or she looks more like a tiny tadpole than a human. He or she is now made up of three layers — the ectoderm, the mesoderm, and the endoderm — which will later form all of his organs and tissues. The ectoderm is his or her skin, hair, nails, mammary and sweat glands, and tooth enamel. The mesoderm or middle layer is his or her heart and circulatory system, muscles, cartilage, bone, and subcutaneous tissue. This is the week "Clover's" heart starts to beat and pump blood! The third layer, endoderm, will house his or her lungs, intestines, and rudimentary urinary system, as well as his thyroid, liver, and pancreas.
My Symptoms: This week I have still been sooo tired! I have been going to bed around 9:00 every night to help me have a little bit more energy during the day while I am working. It has helped some, but by lunch time I'm ready to pass out on the floor and take a nap :)
I have also still been kind of hungry, but starting to get to the point where nothing sounds good to eat! Breakfast is the WORST! I just don't want any breakfast foods and I'm usually very hungry at breakfast time and I have to eat something.
Still haven't been sick. I did have one little nausea episode when we were walking into the restaurant to eat dinner the other night, but it lasted like a minute and went away as soon as I took a sip of sprite :) Other than that still feeling good!
My boobs are still KILLING me! Wearing a bra hurts, not wearing a bra hurts, holding them hurts, not holding them hurts, laying on them hurts, not laying on them hurts, I mean these bad boys just HURT. They are also a bit bigger I think! I'm not complaining though because every ache I have just reminds me that I'm still pregnant <3

Gender: I really have no idea. I hear a lot of people swearing I'm having a girl. I just don't know. I'd be happy either way as long as "Clover" is healthy. I know Tyler really wants a boy though. I have been thinking of doing some research about the old wives tales and seeing what they say once I get a little farther along.
Weight gain: Haven't weighed myself. I have a doctors appointment on Thursday morning so I will see what their scales and my scales say and base it off of that!
Maternity clothes: None yet, but I wear scrubs to work and I have noticed them getting tighter and at home I live in pj's!
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Still sleeping great!
Best moment this week: Making it to the 5 week mark and getting to the weekend so I could sleep all day!
Worst moment this week: Having to work while I just wanted to lay down and nap!
Miss anything: Not yet
Movement: nope
Cravings: not sure, but there were a good bit of times this week that the only thing that sounded good was shrimp.. oh I also really wanted a coke this week so I had a half of one and it wasn't all that I had hoped it would be :(
Queasy or sick: Feeling good!
Questions/Concerns: At my appointment on Thursday I did want to ask my doctor about what he recommends on what to eat and what not to eat. I know and have heard everyone and their mamma tell me what they did, but I want to know from HIM. Like the deli meat, hot dogs, and seafood.
I also want to know what my uterus feels like when its stretching and if round ligament pain is too early to be having. I have noticed when I move a certain way fast or stretch or sometimes sneeze, i'll get this pain near my hip (varies from hip to hip) like I pulled something. It lasts for a minute or two and goes away. Everything that I have read says round ligament pain, but I'm 5 weeks with my first. I didn't think this would be happening yet?

Looking forward to: Our first appointment on Thursday! Hoping to see/hear the heartbeat! However, I am not getting my hopes up. I will just be happy to see the sac and fetal pole! I know its kind of a hit and miss at this point to see a heartbeat.
