Doctor appointment/ Ultrasound

Today I'm 8 weeks! I am actually measuring 7 weeks and 4 days, but who wants to add more time to their first trimester? Not this girl! I am counting down the days until I can be in the second trimester and feeling good!

I got to my appointment today and this time it was NOT screwed up and my ultrasound was legit at 9:30am. She took me back and I did the whole undress from the waist down drill which I am so glad that will be the last time for a long time that i'll have to do that for an ultrasound! She said she would look first and then show us the screen which I know is what they have to do just in case. So within like two seconds she saw baby and heartbeat!

It was the cutest little baby I've ever seen! Obviously! She also let me get a little recording of the heartbeat. She printed out two pictures. They were the same picture, but gave one to me and one to Tyler. I was kinda sad that I only got one, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. The entire time tyler is looking at the picture he is swearing it looks like a duck. He would!

Anyway, I don't know the actual length baby was measuring, but he or she is measuring 7w4d. Heartbeat was 150 bpm. Official due date is March 15th! The first day of Turkey season and day before Tyler's birthday!

Here is our baby:

This is the one he keeps saying looks like a duck that has its head looking backwards!

Tyler had to leave after the ultrasound to go to work so I met with the doctor by myself. He said everything is PERFECT! He said that my chance of miscarriage dropped down to less than 5% now that we've seen a heartbeat and once we get to 12 weeks it will drop down to .0001%!

I told him that I haven't taken the progesterone in about a week and he said that was perfectly fine. He said there was no evidence that I actually needed it, we just did it for the "just incase". He said if anything were to go wrong he could 100% look me in the eye and say it was definitely NOT because I stopped the progesterone so there was no need for me to worry!

We also discussed that my insurance only allows 15 Zofran pills a month and that I was already out and still have another 2 weeks or so before I can get a refill so he said we could try Phenergan 12.5mg which is a children's dose and hopefully it will help without making me too tired. He said if I needed to take the entire pill I could because that is equivalent to the adult dose, but that it would definitely make me tired. So I don't have much of a choice in that department.

Other than that we are thrilled and so excited for our next appointment in 4 weeks!
