Yes, Yes we are finally going to have a BABY!
Most normal people would wait until they're far enough along before telling people, but the way I see it if God blesses you with such a miracle that is something for the whole world to know! Telling or not telling isn't going to prevent anything from happening. God is in control and that is just that!
Funny story though.. So on Monday at work I was asking a patient some questions and she stops and says "You're pregnant you shouldn't be working back here with this stuff" and when she says stuff she means radiation. So I sit there in disbelief and utter shock that this lady just basically called me fat! I look down at my stomach and back at her and say "I'm not pregnant!"
So after hearing that I of course had to take a pregnant test as soon as I got home. I knew my period was still 5 days away or so, but I just had to take one. 3 minutes later I nearly fell to the floor when it was positive! I mean almost 3 years of no protection and its really positive! I was beyond shocked, happy, and blessed :)
Our "expected due date" according to the internet (because the internet never lies) is March 14th, 2015
That is 3 days after Tyler's mom's birthday and 2 days before Tyler's birthday. So who is starting the baby birthday pole?
How far along: 4 weeks 1 day
Baby Growth: Right now "Clover" is an embryo the size of a poppy seed, consisting of two layers: the epiblast and the hypoblast, from which all of his or her organs and body parts will develop. Also present now are the amniotic sac, which will house "Clover"; the amniotic fluid, which will cushion his or her as he or she grows; and the yolk sac, which produces "Clover's" red blood cells and helps deliver nutrients to him or her until the placenta has developed and is ready to take over this duty.
My Symptoms: SOOO tired! Hungry a good bit which I thought was kind of unusual, a bit gassy (a bit TMI, but if you plan to read this blog, then prepare for a lot of TMI). Some pulling/pinching/stretching pains on the right side of my pelvic. Boobs that hurt beyond measure. And did I mention I could literally sleep for days?
Gender: too early to even make a guess, but I'm going with boy for now :)
Weight gain: none I hope, but with all that I've been eating and all this bloat I'm sure I've gained some! My beginning weight though is 130lbs.
Maternity clothes: None, but if this bloating doesn't go down I will be in them soon! However, I can't wait until the fall/winter where I can dress up sooo cute in maternity clothes or get my hands on some of those maternity leggings!
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Sleeping well but can never get
enough of it! I'm so tired all the time now!
Best moment this week: Obviously finding out that I'm pregnant! Telling our Family and friends!
You can see the video of us telling my mom and grandmother here.
You can see the video of us telling Tyler's family here.
Worst moment this week: Thinking I was getting called fat kind of stung, but it had a happy ending?
Miss anything: Not yet
Movement: nope
Cravings: not yet
Queasy or sick: Feeling good!
Questions/Concerns: None really, just praying for the best :)
Looking forward to: Our first appointment on July 17th!
Belly Pictures: the others will be better than this, but for now this is what we get:
