Surprise Baby #2

We have always said we wanted to have about a 2 year age gap between our kids. The closer that time came to have that age gap I just didn't think I was ready. I was so very emotional about having to share my time with Lakelyn and a new baby and I just wasn't ready for her to not be the only child anymore. We talked about it more and decided that we were ok with a 2.5-3 year gap and felt like we would be ready by then. We said at the end of 2016 we would just let whatever happens, happen and then if nothing we would start trying again in January 2017.

Fast forward to October/November we were going to stick to our word, but it was kind of like... hmm we can just wait until next month. However, there was that one time and then...

Right before Thanksgiving this happened

I was completely shocked and honestly a little scared shitless! After a few moments of staring I realized that God had perfect timing for Lakelyn and she was far, far, far from a "one timer", so this baby was definitely meant to be and God had a plan.
We had our family Christmas pictures the same afternoon so I that is how I decided to tell Tyler. I emailed our photographer and we came up with a quick plan and went for it. Needless to say, Tyler isn't the emotional type so it didn't turn out as I pictured in my mind and was kind of boring haha. I think he was in the same state of shock as I was though.
Lakelyn was NOT really wanting to do pictures which is a common thing these days, but we did manage to get a couple.

So, here is to hoping we can handle two and maybe i'll even be able to keep up with the documentation of this pregnancy and first year like I did with Lakelyn... fingers crossed!
